I joined newcomer summer youth program because I wanted to gain experience whole summer instead of staying home and going to work. I got something else to go.
I think its perfect because it’s not everyday (only Tuesdays) and for 3-4 hours which again is perfect. It was also too boring to stay at home.
The experience I gained through going to this summer youth program is certainly useful for my future experience. The best session for me was the Artwork session, even though I am not thinking of becoming an artist but him describing about how he became an artist and his artwork kind of strengthened me on thinking about my own future.
The trips we went to were definitely the most fun throughout this summer program. The most fun was going to Centre Island at a beautiful weather and beach. The ferry were awesomely the most fun of course.
Of course I met new friends and these alot I got close to. Spending time with friends during the program really made me happy. The snacks are awesome as well.
If I were to tell a newcomer my experience, I would tell them about difficulty I had when I came to Canada there were also some exciting days. One of the exciting day when I first came to Canada getting out of the airplane I saw the first snow in my whole life. Difficulty I had was basically when I went to school because of course I lack of English. But overtime I overcame all difficulty I had through elementary school, then when I entered high school, I started piling difficulties all over which I haven’t overcome yet, but I know I soon will, and I definitely know that the newcomers will definitely overcome like I did. When they look back like I did and they would definitely know how much they succeed or the difficulty they had all very good memories and it something that made them learn new stuff.
