My experience in the newcomer youth summer program is fantastic, useful, fun, knowledgable. I found it interesting. The reason why I joined this program is so that I can spend my summer holiday something knowledgable, fun, exciting, outdoor reaction, have more friends and also I’ll call as volunteer for our community.
Before I was not sure about this program but I took some time to think about it, and in the end I finally decided to take participate on it. After I went to two meeting, outdoor activities I found very interesting. I thought I almost lost this opportunity which was so useful for us. After this thought I think I have to start coming on the other programmes too. Not only me other student, newcomer youths, peer youth should come.
Before coming to this summer programme or any other programmes you feel like, useless, time waste but once you started to come you don’t have to regret about it. Instead of that, you will be waiting for fun day to come. You will get ot meet new friends, staff, the different way of hosting their programmes and also knowledgeable.
My first day on Summer programme 2010 at the beginning I felt shy, boring, I thought it was time waste but slowly while sitting in the room and listening to them, playing knowledgable games about Toronto I found interesting. So, I was proud of myself. Until not, whatever meeting, outdoor activities, I have been to has been far more better than I have ever thought. When I go to each and every class I learn more and more about it.
Outdoor activities I have to say WOW!!! Amazing, fantastic, fun. This is my first outdoor activities with friends. Each and every places we went was amazing. I can’t probably describe it. We got to eat icecream, sandwiches, and many more. And games such as lawn tennis, swimming, swings, etc... I got ot know more history about places where we went like High Park, and also we got to do knowledgable quizzes where I found very important. There are lots of important things but among one I found that places are not just to visit and have fun. It also includes that while touring, having fun, visiting places we also have to know something history or backgrounds about places so that people could find more interesting so that they will like visit that place again and again. For example taking quizzes, by reading instruction given in the Bristol boards.
And at the end of this summer programme we are going to do the exhibition about the session, activities. And from my group, Bhuti and I (Tseten) is going to present about outdoor activities which was fun and have more information than before. We are going have fun by having multiculture dance, presentation.
At last but not the least, I would like to thank Kalsang, Allan, Agar and other staffs for such an opportunity. I’m so exciting to go back to school and share some of my holiday day with my friends and teachers. I am so thankful for her. Hope to join more programmes. Once again Thank you!!
I totally forgot basketball. There are lots of programmes that I forgot my hobbie. WOW :D Hope to win this basketball summer tournament too and have fun too.
Once Again Thank YOU!!
